DESCRIPTION:

Originally settled by the French around 1700, Alabama became the twenty-second state in 1819. This database is a collection of marriage records from the state between 1809 and 1920. Researchers will find the names of both bride and groom along with the marriage date. The county where the ceremony was performed is also provided. Containing about 150,000 records and the names of nearly 300,000 men and women, this collection can be a tremendous aid to those seeking ancestors from the area.
